To apply for a Last Dollar Scholarship, new applicants must meet the following:

• First-time, full-time students of Southwest Tennessee Community College or the Tennessee Technology Center at Memphis.
• Class of 2010 high school graduates of an accredited public or private high school of Shelby County, Tennessee. High school graduates remain eligible to apply until one year after graduation.
• Resident of Shelby County, Tennessee for at least one full year prior to high school graduation.
• Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov for more details and to apply online. Apply for Pell Grants, Tennessee Student Assistance Awards, Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarships including Tennessee HOPE scholarships and the Wilder-Naifeh Technical Skills Grant through FAFSA.
• Apply to all eligible grants and scholarships available through Southwest Tennessee Community College or the Tennessee Technology Center at Memphis.
• Complete the Last Dollar Scholarship Application Form. All completed application forms are accepted beginning June 1, 2010. Electronic submissions are highly preferred. 
• Agree to participate in STEP Mentoring and work with an assigned mentor of the program.
• Agree to participate in a minimum of two hours of community service per academic year through Volunteer Mid-South.
