Application Materials
In order for applications for the STEP Last Dollar Scholarship to be considered complete, new applicants must:
- Complete and submit the STEP Last Dollar Application Form.
- Fax or mail in a signed STEP Authorization Form to release educational records.
- Your signed STEP Authorization Form:
- Authorizes the Office of the Registrar of Southwest Tennessee Community College or of the Tennessee Technology Center at Memphis to release information verifying your enrollment and to release your high school transcript to the administrators of STEP.
- Authorizes the Office of Financial Aid to release your financial aid information to the administrators of STEP. Your financial aid information includes:
- Your current billing address;
- A copy of the first page of your Student Aid Report (SAR) from your FAFSA application that shows your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number on the top right corner; and
- Your financial aid award letter with the current cost of attendance, all grants, scholarships, and work-study awarded.
- Serves as an acknowledgment that all educational records released to the administrators of STEP will be kept confidential and cannot be released to a third party without your written permission.
